Product Specific Information

The HIS51 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD90 and cross-reacts with mouse CD90.1, a GPI-linked membrane molecule.
In rats, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, recent thymic emigrants, neurons, inflamed endothelia, and other cell types.
In CD90.1-expressing mouse strains (PL and AKR), CD90 is expressed by early hematopoietic cells in bone marrow, thymocytes, and mature T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of rat thymocytes and splenocytes at ≤0.06 µg/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL volume.
Recommended careful titration for optimal performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein and a member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts.
Thy-1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other brain-related events.
