Target Information
The HOXC10 gene belongs to the homeobox family of genes encoding a conserved set of transcription factors crucial in morphogenesis of multicellular organisms. Mammals contain four homeobox clusters (HOXA, HOXB, HOXC, and HOXD) located on different chromosomes, each with 9–11 tandemly arranged genes. HOXC10, located on chromosome 12, is regulated during cell differentiation and proliferation, suggesting a role in origin activation.
