Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters.
ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes.
ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White).
This protein is a member of the MRP subfamily, which is involved in multidrug resistance.
The specific function of this protein has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in the transport of biliary and intestinal excretion of organic anions.
Alternatively spliced variants encoding different protein isoforms have been described, although not all variants have been fully characterized.
