Target Information
The STX3 gene belongs to the syntaxin family. The encoded protein localizes to the apical membrane of epithelial cells, forming clusters essential for establishing and maintaining polarity required for protein trafficking involving vesicle fusion and exocytosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
