Target Information
CD1a는 비다형성(non-polymorphic) MHC class I 관련 세포 표면 당단백질로, β2-microglobulin과 결합하여 발현된다.
CD1a는 피질 흉선세포(cortical thymocytes), 랑게르한스 세포(Langerhans cells), 상호수지상세포(interdigitating cells)에서 발현되며, 일부 T세포계 악성종양 및 조직구증(histiocytosis X)에서도 발현된다.
이 단백질은 주로 자가 또는 미생물 유래의 지질 및 당지질 항원을 T세포에 제시하는 역할을 한다. 인간 게놈에는 CD1a, CD1b, CD1c, CD1d, CD1e의 다섯 가지 CD1 유전자가 존재하며, 이들은 염색체 1번에 클러스터 형태로 배열되어 있다. 각 CD1 단백질은 세포 내 위치와 지질 리간드 특이성이 다르다. CD1a는 세포막 및 초기 엔도솜계 재활용 소포에 위치한다.
CD1a의 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변이체가 보고되었으나, 그 생물학적 유효성은 아직 확립되지 않았다.
