P2Y6는 G 단백질 결합 수용체(GPCR) 계열에 속하며, 다양한 아데노신 및 유리딘 뉴클레오타이드에 선택적으로 반응하는 여러 수용체 아형을 포함합니다. P2Y6 수용체는 UDP에 반응하고, UTP 및 ADP에는 부분적으로 반응하며, ATP에는 반응하지 않습니다.
이 수용체는 혈액세포, 골수, 뇌, 대장, 심장, 신장, 난소, 태반, 비장 및 흉선 등 다양한 조직에서 발현이 확인되었습니다. 또한 자궁경부, 배아, 눈, 신장, 간/비장, 태반 및 혈관 유래 라이브러리에서도 EST가 분리되었습니다.
