Target Information
KHDRBS3 is an RNA-binding protein involved in the regulation of alternative splicing and mRNA splice site selection. It functions as a negative regulator of cell growth by inhibiting cell proliferation and modulating splice site selection of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It enhances exon inclusion in CD44 pre-mRNA through binding to purine-rich exonic enhancers. Its RNA-binding activity is down-regulated by tyrosine kinase PTK6 and it participates in post-transcriptional regulation of HIV-1 gene expression.
