Target Information

FOXP3 (Forkhead box protein 3)는 포크헤드/윙드-헬릭스 전사조절인자 계열의 단백질로, 포유류에서 고도로 보존되어 있으며 면역 항상성 유지에 필수적입니다.
CD25+ CD4+ 조절 T세포에서 높은 수준으로 안정적으로 발현되며, CD4+/CD25− 세포에서는 낮은 수준, CD4−/CD8+ T세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
FOXP3는 조절 T세포의 마스터 조절 유전자로 알려져 있으며, 결함 시 인간에서 IPEX 증후군(면역 기능 이상, 다내분비병증, 장병증)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
또한 FOXP3 발현은 DNA 손상 반응 시 p53에 의해 조절되며, 유방암 및 대장암 세포에서 다양한 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
