Product Specific Information
- Direct ELISA: Use antibody at 2–4 µg/mL for coating.
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
The CD3 subunit complex is essential for transducing antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulating TCR surface expression.
CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded by genes on chromosome 11.
These subunits have cytoplasmic tails that interact with signaling molecules via a double tyrosine-based motif.
CD3 is expressed on 68–82% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes, 65–85% of thymocytes, and Purkinje cells in the cerebellum, but not on B or NK cells.
Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
