Target Information
Ubiquitin은 세포 단백질을 26S 프로테아좀에 의해 분해되도록 표적화하는 고도로 보존된 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 N 말단의 유비퀴틴과 C 말단의 리보솜 단백질 S27a로 구성된 융합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 효모에서 발현 시, 번역 후 절단되어 자유 유비퀴틴 단량체와 리보솜 단백질 S27a가 생성됩니다. S27a는 리보솜 40S 소단위체의 구성요소이며, C4형 아연 손가락 도메인을 포함하고 세포질에 위치합니다. 또한, 이 유전자의 유사유전자가 존재하며, 리보솜 단백질 L40과 S30도 각각 유비퀴틴 또는 유비퀴틴 유사 단백질과 융합된 형태로 합성됩니다. 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되어 있으며, 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
