Target Information
BMPR1B (also known as ALK6, CDw293) is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase belonging to the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptor family, closely related to activin receptors ACVR1 and ACVR2.
It plays an important role in endochondral bone formation and embryogenesis, and is expressed in normal and cancerous prostate tissues.
BMPR1B receptor trafficking is also significant in FOP pathogenesis and is involved in human T-cell differentiation.
