Target Information
UBA6 (also known as UBE1L2, MOP-4) is a novel E1 enzyme specific for ubiquitin and part of the ubiquitin-activating E1 family.
It catalyzes the adenylation of ubiquitin’s C-terminal glycine with ATP, forming a ubiquitin-E1 thioester intermediate.
UBA6 isoforms influence spermatogenesis and male fertility, and it is highly expressed in human monocytes.
