Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 4 (TRPV4)는 OSM9-like transient receptor potential channel (OTRPC) 하위군에 속하는 TRP superfamily 이온 채널 단백질입니다. Ca²⁺-투과성 비선택적 양이온 채널로서 체내 삼투압 조절에 관여합니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 spondylometaphyseal dysplasia, metatropic dysplasia, hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy type IIC 등의 원인으로 알려져 있습니다.
다양한 isoform을 인코딩하는 여러 전사 변이가 보고되어 있습니다. (RefSeq, Apr 2010)
