Target Information

Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits.
NF-kB plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of immune-related genes. Binding of TNFα to its receptor activates IKK, leading to phosphorylation and degradation of IκB, thereby releasing NF-kB to translocate to the nucleus and induce gene expression.
