This antibody detects endogenous levels of total NSD1 / KMT3B protein.
Target Information
This gene encodes a protein containing a SET domain, two LXXLL motifs, three nuclear translocation signals (NLSs), four plant homeodomain (PHD) finger regions, and a proline-rich region. The encoded protein enhances androgen receptor (AR) transactivation, which can be further increased in the presence of other AR-associated coregulators. It may act as a nucleus-localized transcriptional factor and bifunctional transcriptional regulator. Mutations in this gene are associated with Sotos syndrome and Weaver syndrome. A cryptic translocation involving this gene and NUP98 on chromosome 11 has been linked to a form of childhood acute myeloid leukemia. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
