Target Information

PCSK9 is a proprotein convertase of the proteinase K subfamily within the secretory subtilase family. It is synthesized as a soluble zymogen and undergoes autocatalytic intramolecular processing in the endoplasmic reticulum. PCSK9 plays a key role in cholesterol homeostasis and may contribute to cortical neuron differentiation.
