  1. Loaded Human Fc gamma RIIIA (CD16a) (176 Phe) His-tag Recombinant Protein on His1K Biosensor binds Bevacizumab (IgG1) with an affinity constant of 1.9 µM (BLI assay, Sartorius Octet Red384, QC tested).
  2. Captured Human Fc gamma RIIIA (CD16a) (176 Phe) His-tag Recombinant Protein on Anti-His Chip binds Human IgG Fc with an affinity constant of 7.1 µM (SPR assay, Biacore T200, routinely tested).
  3. Captured Bevacizumab (IgG1) on proA Chip binds Human Fc gamma RIIIA (CD16a) (176 Phe) His-tag Recombinant Protein with an affinity constant of 2.67 µM (SPR assay, Biacore T200, routinely tested).

Target Information

CD16 encodes a receptor that recognizes the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G and is involved in the clearance of immune complexes from circulation, as well as in cellular-mediated cytotoxicity and enhancement of viral infections.
The gene FCGR3A shares high similarity with FCGR3B, located on chromosome 1.

  • FCGR3A: expressed on NK cells, integral membrane glycoprotein with a transmembrane peptide.
  • FCGR3B: expressed on PMNs, anchored via phosphatidylinositol linkage.
    Mutations in this gene are associated with immunodeficiency 20, susceptibility to recurrent viral infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, and alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.
    Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
