Product Specific Information

Target Information

ITGB1 (Integrin Subunit Beta 1, CD29) is a 110 kDa cell surface glycoprotein expressed in various cell types including all leukocytes. It forms heterodimers with multiple alpha chains (α1–α6), determining binding properties of β1 integrins (VLA family).
ITGB1 participates in cell adhesion, platelet aggregation, and extracellular matrix binding. Its expression correlates with tumor multidrug resistance and immune cell trafficking. Upregulation occurs during leukocyte migration and inflammatory responses.
Two major isoforms, β1A and β1D, show tissue-specific expression: β1A in most tissues and β1D in cardiac and skeletal muscle.
