Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CELSR1 and CELSR3 is observed.
- Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
The CELSR2 protein belongs to the flamingo subfamily within the cadherin superfamily. These are nonclassic-type cadherins that do not interact with catenins. Flamingo cadherins are localized at the plasma membrane and contain nine cadherin domains, seven EGF-like repeats, and two laminin A G-type repeats in their ectodomain, along with seven transmembrane domains—a unique feature of this subfamily. These proteins are thought to function as receptors involved in contact-mediated communication, with cadherin domains acting in homophilic binding and EGF-like domains contributing to cell adhesion and receptor–ligand interactions. The specific function of CELSR2 remains undetermined.
