Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to avoid contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse SerpinI1.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the serpin superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors. The protein is primarily secreted by axons in the brain and preferentially inhibits tissue-type plasminogen activator. It plays a role in axonal growth regulation and synaptic plasticity development.
Mutations in this gene cause familial encephalopathy with neuroserpin inclusion bodies (FENIB), a dominantly inherited form of familial encephalopathy and epilepsy characterized by accumulation of mutant neuroserpin polymers. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
