This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, followed by screening to select optimal clones.

Target Information

Surfactant protein D (SP-D) is synthesized and secreted by lung epithelial cells. It belongs to group III of the C-type lectin family. Members of this group have multiple globular “head” regions linked by triple-helical, collagen-like strands.
SP-D, SP-A, and related proteins (mannan-binding protein, conglutinin, collectin-43) bind to the C1q receptor on various cells. SP-D and SP-A enhance oxygen radical production by alveolar macrophages.
