Target Information
COL1A2 유전자는 Type I collagen의 pro-alpha2 체인을 암호화하며, triple helix 구조는 두 개의 alpha1 체인과 하나의 alpha2 체인으로 구성됩니다. Type I collagen은 대부분의 결합 조직에서 발견되며, 특히 뼈, 각막, 진피, 힘줄에 풍부합니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 골형성부전증(I-IV형), Ehlers-Danlos 증후군(VIIB형 및 Classical형), 특발성 골다공증, 비전형적 Marfan 증후군 등과 관련이 있습니다. COL1A1 유전자 돌연변이에 비해 COL1A2 돌연변이에 의한 증상은 덜 심각한 경향이 있습니다.
세 가지 전사체가 확인되었으며, 이는 대체 polyadenylation 신호의 사용에 의해 발생합니다.
