The MA1-7378 antibody reacts with HIV-1 p24 in viral and infected tissue samples.

The antibody was raised against HIV protein 24.
Target Information
HIV-1 Gag p24 is a capsid protein that forms the core of the AIDS virus (HIV-1).
It is produced by the cleavage of precursor Gag p55 by HIV-1 protease and is essential for viral particle assembly.
HIV-1 Gag p24 is detectable from the early stage of infection and is used as a marker to monitor disease progression and viral load after treatment.
