Target Information
A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs)는 구조적으로 다양한 단백질 군으로, 공통적으로 단백질 키나아제 A (PKA)의 조절 소단위를 결합하여 세포 내 특정 위치에 고정시키는 기능을 가집니다.
AKAP12는 내피세포, 배양된 섬유아세포, 그리고 골육종 세포에서 발현되며, 단백질 키나아제 A 및 C, 그리고 포스파테이즈와 결합하여 신호전달의 스캐폴드 단백질로 작용합니다.
이 단백질은 RII PKA와 세포 주변부에서 공위치하며, 세포 성장 관련 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
또한, 이 단백질에 대한 항체는 중증 근무력증 환자에서 생성될 수 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱을 통해 서로 다른 아이소폼을 인코딩하는 두 가지 전사 변이체가 존재합니다.
