Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
IGSF3 (immunoglobulin superfamily, member 3), also known as V8 or EWI-3, is a 1,214 amino acid membrane protein predominantly expressed in kidney, placenta, and lung. It contains an N-terminal signal peptide, eight immunoglobulin (Ig) domains, and a transmembrane segment. IGSF3 shares 32% identity with CD101, a leukocyte surface protein involved in T-cell activation. However, unlike CD101, IGSF3 is not expressed in peripheral blood lymphocytes and does not appear to have an immune function.
