Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The RCN2 protein is a calcium-binding protein located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It contains six conserved regions with similarity to a high-affinity Ca²⁺-binding motif, the EF-hand. This gene maps to the same region as type 4 Bardet-Biedl syndrome, suggesting a possible causative role in the disorder. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
