Target Information
CD56 (NCAM, neural cell adhesion molecule)은 면역글로불린 패밀리에 속하는 막단백질로, 신경계 전반에 걸쳐 120–180 kDa의 다양한 이소폼 형태로 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 세포 간 부착, 축삭 성장, 경로 탐색 및 시냅스 가소성에 관여하며, T 세포 및 NK 세포에서 발현됩니다.
다당체 시알산화(polysialic modification)는 CD56 매개 세포 부착을 감소시킵니다.
CD56은 라미닌(laminin) 및 인테그린(integrin)과 같은 세포외기질 구성요소와 결합하여 상동적·이종적 상호작용을 매개합니다.
또한 CD56은 신경외배엽 유래 세포주, 조직 및 종양(예: 망막모세포종, 수모세포종, 성상세포종, 신경모세포종)에 발현되며, 신경내분비 종양 및 난소 과립막세포종 표지에 널리 사용되는 민감한 신경내분비 마커입니다.
CD56 기능 이상은 광견병(rabies) 및 blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms와 관련이 있습니다.
