Target Information
ENPP2 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 5' 말단의 인산디에스터 결합을 절단하는 phosphodiesterase 및 세포외액에서 lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) 생성을 촉매하는 phospholipase로 기능합니다.
LPA는 세포 증식 및 화학주성을 포함한 성장 인자 유사 반응을 유도하며, 이 단백질은 종양 세포의 운동성을 자극하고 혈관신생(angiogenesis) 특성을 가집니다.
여러 종류의 암에서 발현이 증가하며, 분비된 후 생물학적으로 활성 형태로 가공됩니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
