Target Information

TXK, along with BMS, ITK, and BTK, signals downstream of antigen and other receptors.
All family members contain SH3 and SH2 domains; most also have PH and TH domains in their amino termini.
Four alternatively spliced forms of Tec are expressed in hematopoietic cells and hepatocytes.
Emt associates with CD28 and is activated after CD28 ligation.
BTK is essential for B cell development; mutations cause X-linked agammaglobulinemia (Bruton’s disease).
BMX shares high homology with BTK and is highly expressed in the heart.
TXK expression is T cell-specific, while Dsrc28C expression is developmentally regulated.
