Target Information
GOT2 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 2) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme that exists in cytoplasmic (GOT1) and mitochondrial (GOT2) forms. It plays a key role in amino acid metabolism as well as the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both enzymes are homodimeric and share high sequence homology.
