Product Specific Information

The MIH1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of ~40 kDa. B7-H1 is expressed on most leukocytes and acts as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction of PD-1 with PD-L1 inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH1 is reported to be a blocking antibody.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) binds to PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor signaling and reducing proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-γ, suggesting a role in tumor immune evasion.
