Product Specific Information

The TER-119 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse erythroid cells from early proerythroblast to mature erythrocyte stages. The TER-119 antigen is present in yolk sac, fetal and newborn liver, but not expressed by cells carrying BFU-E and CFU-E activities. Erythroleukemia cell lines tested are negative for TER-119 expression even after DMSO stimulation. The antigen is associated with surface glycophorin A but is not a typical glycophorin.

Applications Reported:
TER-119 antibody is suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested on mouse splenocytes and bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.

Light Sensitivity:
PE-Cyanine5 tandem dye is light-sensitive; protect from light during storage and use.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C using:

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54)

Excitation / Emission: 488–561 nm / 667 nm
Compatible Lasers: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered

Target Information

TER-119 is a lineage marker for erythroid cells from early proerythroblast to mature erythrocyte stages in adult blood, spleen, and bone marrow. Also expressed in yolk sac and fetal/newborn liver. Not expressed by BFU-E or CFU-E stage cells.
