EZH2 (Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase)는 Polycomb-group (PcG) 계열 단백질에 속합니다. PcG 단백질은 유전자 전사 억제 상태를 세대 간 유지하는 역할을 하며, EZH2는 EED, VAV1, X-linked nuclear protein 등과 상호작용합니다. 또한 조혈 및 중추신경계에서 기능할 수 있으며, EZH2 변이는 Weaver syndrome(WVS)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
