Target Information

CROCC is a major structural component of the ciliary rootlet, a cytoskeletal-like structure in ciliated cells that originates from the basal body and extends proximally toward the nucleus. It is essential for proper positioning of the cilium basal body relative to the nucleus for ciliogenesis (PubMed:27623382) and contributes to centrosome cohesion before mitosis (PubMed:16203858).
