Target Information
Eukaryotic initiation factor-3 (EIF3) is a large complex (~600 kDa) composed of 13 distinct protein subunits, including EIF3J. EIF3 plays a central role in binding initiator methionyl-tRNA and mRNA to the 40S ribosomal subunit, forming the 40S initiation complex (Fraser et al., 2004; Fraser et al., 2007).
