Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BAG-5 protein is hypothesized to induce death of nigral neurons through its interaction with hsp70, leading to increased protein aggregation and cell death by disinhibition of hsp70’s anti-apoptotic function.
It may play a crucial role in neuronal death mechanisms and act as a modulator of the hsp70/hsp40 chaperone axis. BAG-5 may also coordinate localization or modulation of other BAG-containing proteins via BAG-BAG heterodimerization.
