Product Specific Information

This antibody has been successfully used in Western blot, IHC, ELISA, and IP applications.
Antibody Specificity: Reacts with the heavy chains of rat IgG and with the light chains common to most rat immunoglobulins, based on immunoelectrophoresis. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Cross-reactivity with immunoglobulins from other species may occur.

Restoration and Storage:

• Store at 4°C until opened.
• Restore with 2.0 mL distilled water (final concentration 0.8 mg/mL).
• Centrifuge if not clear after 1–2 hours at room temperature.
• Store undiluted at 4°C for several weeks.
• After dilution, use within one day.
• To extend shelf-life, add equal volume of glycerol (final ~50%) and store at -20°C.

Target Information

Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified and specific for rat immunoglobulins. They are used for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins. Secondary antibodies enhance sensitivity through signal amplification and allow use of multiple detection systems (HRP, AP, fluorescence). Typically generated by immunizing host animals with pooled rat immunoglobulins and purified via immunoaffinity chromatography.
