Target Information
Gangliosides는 시알산을 포함하는 막 결합형 glycosphingolipid로, 세포 부착과 악성 세포 성장에 중요한 역할을 합니다. ST8SIA1 유전자는 CMP-sialic acid로부터 GM3에 시알산을 전달하여 gangliosides GD3 및 GT3를 생성하는 type II 막 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 골지체에 존재하며 glycosyltransferase family 29에 속합니다. 또한, 대체 스플라이싱된 전사체 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
