Product Specific Information
- Reacts with feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) type 1 and 2; specific for nucleocapsid.
- Also reacts with canine coronavirus (CCV), pig coronavirus transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), and ferret coronavirus.
- Some activity detected against bovine coronavirus (BCV).
- No reactivity against Feline Leukemia virus, Feline Immunodeficiency virus, Feline Calcivirus, Feline Herpes virus, Canine Adenovirus (type 2), Canine Distemper virus, Canine Parvovirus, and Canine Parainfluenza virus.
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) recommended for paraffin sections.
- In Western blot, detects a band at ~50–56 kDa under reducing conditions (nucleocapsid). Bands at ~56 and ~46 kDa observed using CCV antigen.
Mouse anti-Feline Coronavirus antibody, clone FIPV3-70, reacts with FIPV type 1 and 2 and is known to be specific for the nucleocapsid.
