Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The initiation of transcription is controlled in part by a large protein assembly known as the preinitiation complex. A component of this complex is a 1.2 MDa protein aggregate called Mediator. This Mediator component associates with a CDK8 subcomplex containing MED12, MED13, CDK8 kinase, and cyclin C.
