Chromogranin A (CHGA)는 신경내분비 분비 단백질인 chromogranin/secretogranin 패밀리의 구성원입니다.
신경세포 및 내분비세포의 분비소포 내에 존재하며, vasostatin, pancreastatin, parastatin의 전구체 역할을 합니다.
이들 펩타이드는 신경내분비 시스템의 자가/측분비 음성 조절자로 작용합니다.
CHGA는 carcinoid 종양, pheochromocytoma, paraganglioma 및 기타 신경내분비 종양의 우수한 마커입니다.
Chromogranin A와 neuron specific enolase (NSE)의 동시 발현은 신경내분비 종양에서 흔하게 관찰됩니다.
