Target Information
Aquaporin 12 (AQP12)는 포유류 AQP 패밀리 중 가장 최근에 확인된 멤버로, 췌장 선방세포(pancreatic acinar cells)에 특이적으로 발현됩니다.
AQP12는 세포 내 위치하며, 췌장에서의 생리적 역할을 규명하기 위해 AQP12 결손 마우스(AQP12-KO)가 제작되었습니다.
정상 조건에서는 AQP12-KO와 WT 마우스 간의 성장, 혈액 화학, 췌장액 함량, 조직학적 차이가 없었으나, CCK-8 유도 췌장염 모델에서는 AQP12-KO 마우스가 더 심한 조직 손상을 보였습니다.
