For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CDKN2A gene produces multiple transcript variants with distinct first exons.

• Two variants encode isoforms that inhibit CDK4 kinase.
• Another variant encodes an alternate open reading frame (ARF) protein, structurally unrelated to the other isoforms, which stabilizes the tumor suppressor p53 by sequestering MDM2.
  Despite structural differences, both CDK inhibitor isoforms and the ARF protein share a role in cell cycle G1 control through regulation of CDK4 and p53.
  Mutations or deletions in this gene are frequently observed in various tumors, highlighting its importance as a tumor suppressor gene.
