Takara Mighty TA-Cloning Kit

The Mighty TA-Cloning Kit is a fast, easy system for cloning PCR-amplified products obtained using a Taq-based DNA polymerase. Most DNA fragments amplified this way have a single base—deoxyriboadenosine (dA)—added to the 3’ end. The TA cloning method takes advantage of complementarity between this A-overhang on the insert and a single deoxyribothymidine (dT) overhang present on the 3’ end of a T-vector.

This kit includes a pUC-based T-vector, plus the same ligation reagents found in the DNA Ligation Kit, Mighty Mix, enabling highly efficient ligations to be performed simply and quickly.

• Fast, easy TA cloning of PCR products with 3’ A-overhangs, as generated with Taq-based DNA polymerases
