Target Information
JAB-1 is a 38 kDa protein originally described as a coactivator for cJUN. It is part of a large protein complex called the “Signalosome,” which may play a signaling role in mammalian cells and is analogous to the COP9 complex in plants. Although its specific function in this complex is unclear, JAB-1 has been implicated in targeting proteins for degradation by the proteasome.
