For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
J chain is a small glycopeptide synthesized by plasma cells secreting polymeric immunoglobulins. It forms disulfide bonds with IgA and IgM and has also been observed in IgG- and IgD-containing cells. J chains are abundant in immunoglobulin-positive cells within germinal centers of tonsils and lymph nodes. B cells express J chain early in differentiation, maintaining expression in cells destined to produce IgA or IgM.
