Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
J chain is a small glycopeptide synthesized by plasma cells that secrete polymeric immunoglobulins. It is linked to IgA and IgM by disulfide bonds, but can also be found in IgG- and IgD-containing cells.
J chains are abundant in immunoglobulin-positive cells within germinal centers of tonsil and lymph nodes.
B cells express J chain early in differentiation, persisting in cells producing IgA or IgM.
