NFKB1 (p50)은 Rel 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 50 kDa 기능적 소단위로, p105 전구체 단백질로 합성되며 핵 이동 신호, DNA 결합 및 이합체화 도메인을 포함한 RHD 영역을 가지고 있습니다.
NFKB1 (p50)은 p65와 이합체를 형성하여 기능적 NF-κB 복합체를 이루며, 핵 내 이동 및 DNA 결합에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
NF-κB의 병리적 역할은 AIDS, 혈액암 전이, 류머티즘성 관절염 등과 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
