Target Information
CLEC-14A (C-type lectin domain family 14 member A), also known as EGFR-5 or CEG1, is a 490 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein containing one C-type lectin domain and an EGF-like domain.
The gene encoding CLEC-14A maps to human chromosome 14, which contains over 700 genes and accounts for approximately 3.5% of the human genome.
Chromosome 14 includes the PSEN1 gene, associated with Alzheimer’s disease, and the SERPINA1 gene, whose defects cause alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency.
