Product Specific Information

MA1-020-D488 has been successfully used in ICC/IF and flow cytometry applications on human samples.
It can be used for immunofluorescence analysis of SSEA3 in human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).


Target Information

SSEA-3 (stage-specific embryonic antigen 3) is a cell surface antigen expressed in embryonic stem cells, embryonal carcinoma cells, and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), along with SSEA-4, TRA-1-60, and TRA-1-81.
In human cells, these markers are down-regulated during differentiation, while SSEA-1 is absent in undifferentiated human stem cells and upregulated after retinoic acid-mediated differentiation.
In mouse stem cells, SSEA-1 expression decreases with differentiation, whereas SSEA-3 and SSEA-4 expression increase.
